Letter from the Editor

Dear Readers,

Firstly, I’d like to make a correction. In last month’s issue, we featured an article on United Way, which mentioned their upcoming fair, Feria De Los Sueños (The Fair of Dreams), a project that fulfills the dreams of underprivileged children. The correct name of this year’s theme is Yo Puedo Ser (I Can Be) – my apologies to those at United Way, who work so hard to improve the lives of children around world, for printing the wrong theme name. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to the end of rainy season and those first crisp winds that signal its passing, as well as lift the kites high into the air on All Saints’ Day – an upcoming holiday celebrated in many unique ways here in Guatemala. (Turn to page 20 and 74 to learn about these traditional celebrations.)

You can still post your ad on our website for free, and if we have space, we’ll print it in the next edition, but now you also have the opportunity to skip the online submission and guarantee a spot for your classified ad in the print edition for a small fee.
